Facebook is working on a video chat application to compete with Snapchat
ephemeral popular messaging application , according to reports.
It has come to know that the app has been
in development for the last couple of months and could be released
as early as this month.
Facebook tried to acquire Snapchat for $ 3 billion in November last year, but
was rejected by the start , at the time that 5 million new users register each
day.
A Suite of Independent Mobile Applications
Slingshot sat with other mobile applications in different positions of Facebook
that are not directly connected to the primary experience of Facebook,
including text messaging application of social network , Facebook Messenger and
photo sharing service #Instagram.
Facebook Declined to Comment .
Heads of Facebook can still decide to leave the new application, which is still
in development, but this is not the first attempt by the company to challenge
Snapchat . Push Facebook application launched in 2012 but was suspended this
month , along with Facebook Chamber of enterprise applications .
Disappear forever ' or not
Snapchat updated their app to include text messages and video calls along with
your messages short video and photos ; all are only visible for 10 seconds
before disappearing from the application of the recipient.
U.S. regulator The Federal Trade
Commission recently reprimanded #Snapchat posts on false "disappear forever" but
could actually be kept by recipients
through third-party applications or take an image capture
screen undetectable.
#Facebook just bought #WhatsApp messaging application for $ 19 billion in
February as part of its mission to reach out and connect more users, who have
also come to Snapchat and ditching risk or at least reducing their interactions
with traditional Facebook experience .
WhatsApp announced in February, after its acquisition by Facebook , which
launched voice calls , which allows users to make calls and send text messages
through the data, instead of traditional voice and SMS telephone networks. The
voice calling feature still has not arrived .
